Dr. Schairer was born and raised in Illinois. Before becoming a veterinarian Lauren spent her time caring for her community, working as a registered nurse and then an elementary school teacher for many years. Lauren then attended Illinois University to obtain her Veterinary degree. When she is not saving lives Lauren enjoys cooking, crafting, and walking her dogs in the woods. Lauren has a plethora of animals from her herd of chihuahuas, basset hound, bearded dragon, and flock of chickens.
